Text Box: Measuring: If at all possible, have measurements taken by your local seamstress - Measure over undergarments, keeping the tape snug, but not tight, against the body. · Bust:  Measure all the way around the fullest part of the bust  (wearing a good quality, supportive bra)      ***This is NOT your bra size · Waist: Measure all the way around smallest part of waist (if you plan to wear shapewear to minimize your waist, measure over the shapewear) · Hip: Placing your heels together, measure around the widest part of the bottom and across the widest part of the thigh.   Selecting Size: Formalwear traditionally runs smaller than everyday clothing sizes, so expect to order a larger size than normally worn.    If between sizes, choose the larger size -  you can always have gowns taken in/made smaller, but you cannot let them out/make them larger. Minor alterations are to be expected, as the fit will be slightly different from everyday clothing. Nearly all formal gowns will need to be shortened/hemmed by your local seamstress.   Dresses are approximately 59” long, allowing for ladies up to 5’ 8” tall, wearing 3” heels. If extra length is available, this information will be noted on the order page.
