Text Box: Measuring: If at all possible, have measurements taken by your local seamstress - Measure over undergarments, keeping the tape snug, but not tight, against the body.   · Bust:  Measure all the way around the fullest part of the bust  (wearing a good quality, supportive bra)       ***This is NOT your bra size · Waist: Measure all the way around smallest part of waist (if you plan to wear shapewear to minimize your waist, be sure to measure over the shapewear) · Hip: Placing your heels together, measure around the widest part of the bottom and across the widest part of the thigh.   Selecting Size: Formalwear traditionally runs smaller than everyday clothing sizes, so expect to order a larger size than normally worn.    If between sizes, choose the larger size -  you can always have gowns taken in/made smaller, but you cannot let them out/make them larger.   Minor alterations are to be expected, as the fit will be slightly different from everyday clothing.   Gowns are between 59-60" long - allowing for ladies up to 5' 8" tall with 3" heels, or 5' 11" tall wearing flats. Nearly all formal gowns will need to be shortened/hemmed by your local seamstress. If extra length is available, this information will be noted noted on the order page.
